Owners and cats alike have been going gaga over it ever since. We rated it as one of our top 10 cheap toys your cat will actually play with. Let’s take a look at what all the fuss is about.

What We Like

Like many cat toys, this one includes catnip. That’s great in and of itself because there’s nothing worse than getting a toy and realizing you have to go back out and buy catnip just to use it.

Kong took it up a notch here though by including top-quality catnip that’s made in North America.

One of the best things about this toy is that it can be used both as a toy and as a comfort item. Many cats, especially younger ones or rescued cats, can feel unsafe and insecure. Having their own comfort toy can help with that. This one doubles as both a comfort toy and a lot of fun.

One of the reasons many cat owners want their cats to have toys is because they want them to exercise. This one is great for setting the tone for your cat to wrestle with the toy and kick their hind legs. The best exercise for cats is exercise they can have just playing around and this provides it.

Many cat toys are not recommended for cats to use on their own. That’s not the case here. This toy doesn’t include any small parts and doesn’t have any dangling streamers your cat could potentially get stuck in. As a result, the manufacturer has okayed it for use when cats are alone.

What We Don’t Like

The one thing we were really disappointed with in this toy is that you can’t open it. That wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t a toy full of catnip but unless you want to rip it open, add new catnip, and then resew it, you’ll have to buy a new one when it runs out of catnip.

Another small issue is that you can’t choose the color or style you want. There are three main options and most pet owners don’t care which one they get. However, if you’re only interested in one particular style then you may be out of luck.

Conclusion

Not only is this toy a lot of fun to play with but it doubles as a comfort item.

That’s a double whammy! We like the good construction and the coziness of it. Our only real complaint is that there’s no way to open it up and refill the catnip.
