What We Like

This is a very affordable litter pan. If you purchase via add-on it’s easily under $10. That makes it a great starter litter box, an extra litter box for emergencies, or for use on a daily basis. The included shield can be removed and provides both privacy for your cat and extra cleanliness for you as it prevents spills.

This is a great litter box for single-cat households and the durable construction means it will work for years to come. We like the fact that it comes in numerous colors. Choose from:

With so many available colors, you can purchase this litter box to be used in any room in the house and ensure it fits in. Do you have red walls in your kitchen? Get the red one. Do you have black accents in your bathroom? Buy that one and place your litter box there. You have lots of options!

The attachable shield helps prevent litter from being spread everywhere but the fact that it’s open on top means it’s easy to clean. With some enclosed litter boxes, getting it clean and keeping an eye on it can be a mess. That’s not a problem here.

What We Don’t Like

This litter box is large enough for a medium sized cat but isn’t a good choice for larger cats. It’s also not a good choice for households with numerous cats. This may not be an issue for some cat owners but it does mean that it’s not as versatile as some other cat litter boxes.

While we do like the removable shield, and the fact that the top is open makes it easy to clean, it also doesn’t offer the same protection that a completely enclosed product does. This means that you may see more litter sprayed around and that some cats who require more privacy may not use it.

Finally, the seal between the shield and the litter box is not as tight as we’d like it to be. As a result, it’s possible for cats to pee right on this spot and have it spill down the sides.

Conclusion

There’s nothing fancy about this litter box but it does the trick and is priced very fairly. It’s a good choice for families with a single cat and we recommend it as a simple litter box.
